Lighthouse Celebrates 14 Years

God’s goodness and faithfulness have enabled the Lighthouse School to continue in Gaza over the past fourteen years, and we ended the school year in May 2019 with celebrations for staff and students. Our 6th graders, always sad to say good-bye, were honored with a little graduation party along with gifts and certificates and reminded that they will always be a part of the Lighthouse family. The staff celebration was held at Gloria Restaurant on the seaside in Gaza City where we shared an Iftar meal during the last week of Ramadan. Four staff members were honored for their long service of fourteen years, having been with the school since the first year in 2005. Kifah Im Wael, Shady Najjar, Randa Atallah and Deane Im Jawdit have faithfully served the children of Gaza with excellence and honor at the Lighthouse School. Thank you to all of our friends and donors who continue to support the school and the students through sponsorship gifts and generous donations. We begin our 15th year in August with the Gaza Initiative and trust the Lord’s blessing will abound and the light will continue to shine!
