A New School Year Has Begun

The students of the Lighthouse School returned from their summer break on Monday, August 16th for the first day of school. 227 kindergarten and elementary students begin the year in Gaza with great excitement and anticipation. The staff and teachers have worked diligently to get everything ready, classrooms prepared, uniforms and books distributed, lesson plans completed, bus routes arranged and new families registered, all the while following the required Covid protocols. We are hopeful that this will be a full year of in-classroom learning and are thankful for all our friends, supporters, and child-sponsors who have prayed faithfully and given generously to keep the light shining in Gaza for seventeen years.
